First run since the half marathon on Saturday. I’ve taken to giving my body at least a couple days off after hard events and I usually feel that helps me to recover better. My left calf and right knee were a bit sore today on the run, so I kept things nice and easy even walking out a cramp in the second mile.
This is the first day that I’m on my new winter training schedule for the upcoming two 50ks I’ve signed up for — one – a free, local, but very challenging mountain, trail run on January 2nd and the other a 50k on Orcas Island in Washington with 8,000 elevation gain on Feb 5th! Should be a fun couple of races and all the training with my pals this winter will just be icing on the cake!!!
