Stretching Out the Legs

It was nice to feel up to a real run today again. I’ve been fairly fatigued since the marathon and just let my body rest and recover for most of the week. This morning, I woke up ready to hit the road again. 

My right knee has a little twinge in it, but other than that, I feel pretty good. Perfect running weather – gentle breeze, 55 degrees, sunny but cloudy. Loved it!

I’ll take one more easy week to fully recover from the marathon and then it’s onto preparing for the next races on the calendar: A hilly, half marathon November 6th, a tough 50k in the snowy mountains Jan. 2nd and then onto the real jewel: a 50K trail race on Orcas Island February 5th with several of my local running buddies! ROAD TRIP! Woo hoo!! 

Stats: 3.02 miles. 9:44 pace. 29:25 total time. Felt: Pretty good.
