Here’s some pictures from today’s run:
Now, THAT’S a HILL!
We ran in this type of snow for miles. TOUGH GOING!
The icicles and sheets of jagged ice on the bubbling stream were a highlight
Standing on one of many, many frozen mud puddles that covered much of the trails today. This made even walking pretty dangerous!
Miles of this today — water had melted on the trails and frozen leaving enormous “skating rinks” to attempt running on (and hopefully not fall.) Harder than you might think!
I’m the queen the rock pile — 17 miles down and 3 to go (which in these conditions, coupled with high elevation and 4,800+ of climb ended up taking a total of 6 1/2 hours to complete the 20 miles. SLOW going and hard work!)
