I’m going to play with my data from my log book — because what’s the point of a ton of data you can’t DO something with, hmmm?
I’ve been feeling frustrated with my bloated body this week. Today is day 22 of my cycle. I write down my am and pm weight every day when I wake up and before I go to sleep. It helps me keep track of “normal” patterns in my weight so I don’t panic when it changes each month.
So….. today’s weight was 128.6 – I feel bloated and look a bit pregnant
Last cycle – day 22 – I weighed 131.4 (August 10, 2009)
Two cycles ago – day 22 – 131.0 (July 12, 2009)
Three cycles ago – day 22 – 135.0 (June 14, 2009)
Four cycles ago – day 22 – 136.8 (May 14, 2009)
If I look at the low weights in my cycles (which are usually around day 9 — though my “lowest weights are usually after a long run -but I’m just working with a.m. weights for now.)
This month – 127.0 (Aug 27)
Last month – 129.8 (July 28)
Two months ago – 132.6 (June 30)
Three months ago – 132.6 (June 2)
Four months ago – 134.2 (May 1)
See what I mean? It kind of puts things in perspective. Even though I feel bloated and horrible — looking back at the data shows me that I HAVE lost weight in the last few months and that’s encouraging. I still have a ways to go, but I think this reminds me to hang in there and let the progress be slow but steady
